Today I attended the most beautiful babtism and spirit filled baptism I have ever witnessed and it was neither in a babtismal pool in a church nor in a river which I have seen and been a part of both. This one took place in a hospital solarium with a pan of water and a towel wrapped around him. This man is a member of my beautiful church and for whatever reason has taken both his legs and with a humble heart he wanted to be baptized. We knew he would not be able to come out of the hospital so several of the members hauled off and drove an hour down the road after church today and we had a beautiful blessing praying, singing "Amazing Grace" and I'll Fly Away" while his humble spirit cried with joy knowing that he was finally going to be babtized. What a joy it was for him as our assistant pastors poured the water upon his head. Everyone was in tears, praising the Lord for what he had done. There wasn't a dry eye as we said our goodbyes as we got ready to travel back home for the evening woship service. What a glorious day it had been. The sweetness, joy, and delightful of knowing he was humble in his spirit and received. Praise God!! Bobby Prevette our pastor did the ceremony and said that although we are a full gospel church there are times when you have to improvise and God sees that. Amen.
