JESUS Christ is our Sabbath...our rest!

I am so thankful that Almighty God humbled Himself; veiled His glory;
came to earth as a simple human being; lived a perfect life without
committing sin; took our place on the cross where He nailed sin and
death (the wages of sin IS death); DIED IN PLACE OF US to give us
eternal life and rose from the dead that glorious Sunday morning.
(That is why we meet to praise and worship Him as His body on the
first day of the week...the early Church did and set the example).
So, twenty seven years ago, I repented of my sins and put my total
trust in the Lord JESUS Christ. My life has not been the same since.
It is such a glorious experience to die to self (daily) and put God first
in my life and watch Him change me inside out through obedience;
and the reading of His Word.
The other wonderful benefit is that I now understand what it means
to "Do unto others as you wish that they should do unto you."
Putting the Lord first, others next and yourself last allows me to live a
life of humility and sheer joy.
As a Christian, I live my life based on Romans 8... waiting for the soon
coming of our Lord and Savior JESUS Christ.

Hi my brother,
Thanks for your positive response to my discussion piece.
As Christians, we must realize that some Church people have not
yet given their lives to the Lord JESUS Christ because they really
have not heard the real Gospel in John 3:10-21.
Many of these dear people think that they can work their way
into heaven, not knowing that what the Lord has done at Calvary
is the full payment for the remission of our sins.
As JESUS said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth & the
life & that no one comes to the Father except through Him.
Many people have been wrongly taught that JESUS went into
hell & fought with the Devil to get the keys of sin & death when
our Lord said on the cross that it was finished.
We as matured Christians must help others around us to come
into the knowledge of the truth of who JESUS really is.
This is why I thank God for putting the desire on your heart for
this Prayer List Group.
One must come to the Lord like a little child & receive by faith,
through grace, this free gift of salvation.
Then will they be able to know that Prayer is about us just talking
to the Lord & telling Him exactly what is in our hearts & He
responds to us through the Holy Spirit & through His Word.
We need some humble & caring mentors on this group. Our God
will turn up & cause hungry & thirsty souls to be drawn to this site.
Can we pray about this??
God wants to change hearts & make us into vessels of honor for
His glory.
