A Prayer list

GOD is listening - let's join in unison prayer for our loved ones!

That took me back a little ... had to think for almost 5 seconds ... then I answered 24 hrours a day.

WHAT ? 24 hrs a day, how is that possible?

Let me explain as I learned this from my Mother 45 years ago or so.

Here is the story:
My Mom who was a devout Catholic, said to me one day:"Louis, I am going to teach how to pray 24 hrs. a day!"

Needless to say, I totally panicked, well, what do you think, I was a teenager (although I was going to church at least once a week), all kinds of thoughts were rushing through my mind; am I going to be like a monk or something?, what? no more play? ... and what about the girls? , oh my God, I am only beginning my life, I have places to go, things to do, people to see and meet - I just about got a massive headache, but never let my Mom know and sat there and listened. She had this serious but peaceful smile on her face.

"Louis, when your eyes are first opened in the morning; say the following prayer- Lord I offer you this day, I ask you to bless all of the people I will meet and think of today, look after each one of them as per Your will Lord." That's it.

I was flaberghasted and oh boy, relieved; there would still be time for me. Wow, that was something.
But I said: "Mom, what if I forget to say that one morning or even a few?"

Mom just smiled and said:"Son, that's why we have insurance"; I am telling you, I was not a stupid kid but I was totally confused, what does insurance have to do with prayer?

Mom said, as she saw that puzzled face fo mine: " Louis, Every Monday morning, as soon as your eyes are open, say the following prayer - Lord, I offer You this week, I ask You to bless all the people I will meet and think of this week, and look after each one of them as per Your will."

Now, I was starting to understand the concept, if I said this prayer at the beginning of the week, and forgot the odd day here and there, I was covered, excellent.

and Mom went to say: "And if you, because life happens, were to forget a week or more and strayed from prayer for any extended period of time, then what you do is every January the 1st, you say this same prayer and use year instead of week, and every ten years, the same, and if for whatever reason, you were to forget for a very long time, do not worry, I said this prayer when you were born, and offered you and your whole life to the Lord."

I tell you, it was not cool ( I was a teenager - sure glad my friends were not around), but I had big huge tears coming down my face, and was so proud of my Mom.

In a few words, she had renewed my faith and I could really feel that Jesus dying for us on the cross, was GOOD ENOUGH for me and all of us.

God bless you on this Sunday the 2nd day of November, 2008.

And today, being the frist Sunday of this site opening, I would like to say this prayer for all of us:
"Lord, I offer you this day along with this site, I ask You to bless all the people I will meet and think of, and all the people who will read this, and look after each one of them as per Your will".

God bless each and everyone of you,

Louis and Holly

P.S. November is remembrance month, so if any of you want to list the names of the people you would like remembered, please write their names down, Ok.

i.e. Stéphane (son), Terry (friend), Patrick, (grandson), Lucienne, (Mom), René (Dad), Pierre (son-in-law), Flore (great-aunt), Henri, (granfather), Béatrice (grandmother), etc ... so many, I could fill a book.

Always remember, when you pray, to include the prayer request of all people on this site, Ok. Merci!

Dear Louis, Holly and fellow Prayer Partners...

Greetings and God's Richest Blessings!

My Prayers for this site, and to all of you!

"Joy is the messenger, dear Lord, that bears our prayers to Thee!"

Our prayers rise like incense, rising ever higher and higher to you, O Graciuos Lord, as we remember and commemorate all the Faithful Departed on this day.

We lift up all our dearly depated loved one's from all of our families and those of our friends.

We lift up all those who have no family or friends to remember them, and place them all in the center of Your Divince Heart of Mercy and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

To all the Faithful Departed, O God grant them full remission of all their sins. Grant them eternal rest, and your abundant Love, Peace, and Joy!

We rejoice in knowing that some day, we will be with our loved ones once again, and greet them face to face! We pray, that we too will be made worthy to gaze forever upon Your Beatific Vison, O God, praising and glorifying God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for all eternity with all our loved ones, and your angels and saints! Amen

Yes Louis!

Your Mom was so right! God tells us to "pray unceasingly!"

At Fatima and in "The Way of Divine Love" Jesus says to us: "Unite all you do to My actions, whether you work or rest or play. Unite your breathing to the beating of My Heart. How many souls you would be able to save that way.(93)

Bless, sanctify and protect this Prayer Site O Lord and Blessed Mother Mary!

"O Most Holy Trinity! As many times as we breathe, as many times as our hearts beat, as many times as our blood pulsates through our bodies, so many thoussand times do we want to glorify Your Mercy!"

"We want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection, O Lord." (Divine Way of Mercy)

Place Your Immage upon each and everyone of us, as we all dedicate this site to YOU, this day, for the greater glory and honour of You, Almighty God ! May YOUR WILL be done!

As the prayer of St. Francis says, "Make me a channel of your peace"...May we who are joined on this site united by our faith and joined in prayer by Your calling O God, be true insturments of Your Unconditional Love and servants of Christ in all those whom you send.

We boast no power other than YOU O Glorious God! Oh Heaveny Father! We bow before You as Your little children, eager to do Your Will.

"You are our Father, Mother, God, Creator, Saviour and Bridegroom!...and none equals Your Heart in loving-kindness." ("356 The Way of Divine Love")

May Your Holy Spirit be our guide, utter the supplications, words and prayers from where our hearts and human frailties leave off in our prayers for those whom you send to this site, to your ears O God throught the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in Union with all the Holy Sacrifices of The Mass throughout the World, in reparation for our sins and the sins of all mankind...both living and dead.

"We rejoice in You! We praise You! We bless You Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ Your dearly beloved Son! "Through Him, With Him and With Him, Almighty Father, All glory and honour and praise is Yours, Almighty Father...forever and ever"...Amen!

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle and protect those who are united on this site in prayer and all those whom God sends...we lift them up to The Lord...

Blessings to you and yours!

In Christ's Abundant Love, Carol

Dear Louis and Holly,
Thanks for sharing this, and thank God for mothers. Earlier today, I told my son I need to look over his homework. As i began to look at what he had written, I said, Collin, "I have asked you to pray every morning when you wake up, and every night before you go to bed.' His response was he did pray. I said, "based on your answers to these questions, God is not in it, please go back and pray that God will open up your understanding to help you become a better student, pray for the other students as well. He just kind of looked at me strange, but went on. I say all of that to say, a mother knows the importance of prayers, as a youngster, you had no clue, just like my son. We seem to know that until you come to the full realization, you probably will not pray daily, but if you pray in a manner that will cover the week, month and year you have done something good.

I have to teach my 16 yr old what your mother taught you, to cover the week, the month, and the year. That is nnot such a bad idea. I will cover him in my prayers, but he needs to cover himself. He is of the age where he has to be responsible for his relationship with God separate from mine, i believe.

I am remembering , Devon & Collin, (immediate family) Elizabeth (Mom), Thedore, Arthur, Ruben, James, Jessie (brothers) Dorothy, Lydia, Blanche, Susan, Patricia, Mary (sisters), tamil and his family (friend), and so many others that I could fill a book
Have a wonderfully blessed day and a blessed week.

Peace and Blessings,
Elladine

Peace be with you Elladine,

Driving to church with Holly this morning, I was saying -if this web site only touches one person ia special way and brings he/she closer to the lord, that will worth it.

I am so glad that what i learned, you can pass on to your son; and yes, Mom knows better, lol.

I pray that I get a better understand of God's will for us. but most of all His will for me. I pray for my sisters and brothers here on the Net, to make theres lives better. I pray at all times for my Girls to be good women for God work. I pray for the hungry, sick, and in need of God's help.I pray that I put a smile in someone's heart to make there day. But most of all I pray all day because it makes me feel good inside and feel closer to God.
